Targeted chimeric degraders engage extracellular or membrane proteins and endocytosable cell‐surface receptors, forming ternary complexes that induce receptor‐mediated internalization. Following endocytosis, post‐endocytic sorting—not internalization alone—determines target fate.

Jejunal atresia associated with idiopathic ileal perforation
Jejunoileal atresia is one of the common causes of neonatal intestinal obstruction. Intestinal perforation with meconium peritonitis in the neonatal period, which carries a high mortality rate, is also common.

This review summarizes the pathogenic role of mitochondria in diseases and highlights mitochondrial transfer and transplantation as emerging therapeutic strategies. It systematically discusses how nanomaterials are engineered to facilitate these processes, and critically examines the current challenges and future perspectives for their clinical ...

Neonatal Bilious Vomiting as a Predictor for Neonatal Intestinal Obstruction [PDF]
Background: Neonatal bilious vomiting is a more clinical symptom that can be difficult to diagnose and assess immediately due to its relationship with actual life-threatening illnesses, like neonatal intestinal obstruction.

Ciliary Membrane Lipid Homeostasis in Health and Disease
This review systematically delineates the distinct lipid landscapes of ciliary membranes, including the spatial organization of phosphoinositides, cholesterol, and sphingolipids. It elucidates how these lipids orchestrate ciliogenesis, signal transduction, and membrane dynamics in cilia beating, and highlights how their dysregulation drives ...

Primary neonatal ileoileal intussusception
Intussusception is a very rare cause of intestinal obstruction in neonatal age and early infancy. We present a case of 26-day- female who presented with abdominal distension, bilious vomiting and bleeding per rectum.

GALK1 acts as a protein kinase beyond the phosphorylation of galactose. GALK1 phosphorylates TIMM13 at Y73 in the cytoplasm. This phosphorylation prevents premature oxidative folding of TIMM13 and ensures its entrance into the intermembrane space of mitochondrion, positively regulating mitochondrial respiration.

Intestinal Obstruction in Early Neonatal Period: A 3-Year Review Of Admitted Cases from a Tertiary Hospital in Ethiopia [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Failure to pass meconium by a full-term neonate within the first 24 hours should raise a suspicion of bowel obstruction. The objective of this study was to determine pattern of presentation, diagnosis and outcome of management of intestinal ...

Hippocampal CA2 perineuronal nets ensheathing excitatory pyramidal neurons are selectively vulnerable to repeated neonatal sevoflurane exposure. Epigenetic upregulation of MMP9 via reduced H3K27me3 disrupts PNN integrity, impairs BDNF–TrkB signaling, and causes synaptic protein loss and dendritic spine deficits, leading to persistent social and spatial
