Nanodiamond‐Infused Microgels for pH‐Tunable Rheology, Lubrication, and UV Protection
Microgels consisting of swollen polyacrylic acid polymer networks, impregnated with nanodiamonds provide protection from ultraviolet (UV) radiation harmful to human health. Nanodiamonds enable UV blockage and control of the rheology (flow) and lubrication (skin‐feel) of these microgel‐skincare‐mimics.

SummaryEffective management of procedural and postoperative pain in neonates is required to minimize acute physiological and behavioral distress and may also improve acute and long‐term outcomes. Painful stimuli activate nociceptive pathways, from the periphery to the cortex, in neonates and behavioral responses form the basis for validated pain ...

Biomaterial Strategies for Targeted Intracellular Delivery to Phagocytes
Phagocytes are essential to a functional immune system, and their behavior defines disease outcomes. Engineered particles offer a strategic opportunity to target phagocytes, harnessing inflammatory modulation in disease. By tuning features like size, shape, and surface, these systems can modulate immune responses and improve targeted treatment for a ...

Phylloplane Sterilization With Bleach Does Not Reduce Btk Toxicity for \u3ci\u3ePapilio Glaucus\u3c/i\u3e Larvae (Lepidoptera: Papilionidae) [PDF]
Neonate tiger swallowtail larvae (Papilio glaucus) were used to bioassay the effects of Btk (Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki) at 4 doses (0.268, 0.034, 0.008, and 0.004 BIU per cm leaf surface) with an untreated control.

In this work, a platform based on an Extended‐Gate OECT is successfully developed and tailored for the detection of physiologically relevant chloride ion concentrations in artificial eccrine sweat. Leveraging the extended‐gate architecture, a high‐performance OECT based on inkjet‐printed pg2T‐TT is coupled with an inkjet‐printed Ag/AgCl electrode ...

SummaryNeonatal leukaemia is defined as occurring within the first 28 days of life and most, if not all, cases are congenital. With the exception of Down syndrome‐associated transient abnormal myelopoiesis, which is not considered here, neonatal leukaemias are rare.

MAMAWEL is introduced as the first calibration‐free potentiometric sensor for at‐home mastitis diagnosis. By measuring the sodium‐to‐potassium ratio in breast milk, the device reliably differentiates between healthy and mastitis‐affected samples with less than 10% error.
