Decellularized Extracellular Matrix Scaffolds to Engineer the Dormant Landscape of Microscopic Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastasis

Decellularized liver extracellular matrix scaffolds provide a platform to study dormant liver‐metastatic colorectal cancer. They induce reversible dormancy, in combination with nutrient depletion and low dose chemotherapy, through cell cycle arrest and chemotherapy resistance.

Integrin β4‐Enriched Small Extracellular Vesicle as Drug Delivery Vehicle for Targeting Pulmonary Metastasis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

The expression of integrin β4 (ITGβ4) on small extracellular vesicle (sEV) correlates with lung‐tropism. Enrichment of ITGβ4 on sEVs enhances their lung‐targeting ability. The sEVs loaded with doxorubicin exhibit superior therapeutic efficacy in a lung metastasis mouse model.

Breast cancer commonly metastasizes to the adrenal glands. Metastases to an already existing adrenal gland tumor, however, are a rare finding. To our knowledge, this report represents the first case of a breast carcinoma metastasizing to a pheochromocytoma. Metastases of a cancer to another coexisting tumor in the same individual is an unusual event.

An unusual case of metastasis of neoplasm to a benign neoplasm is reported. The initial malignancy, a small-cell bronchogenic carcinoma, was found to have metastasis to a renal oncocytoma. A review of the literature indicates, according to our knowledge, no similar case.

Solid-pseudopapillary neoplasm of the pancreas is considered to have malignant potential; 10% to 15% of cases are associated with metastasis, and these usually present at the time of initial diagnoses.
