Selenium‐Integrated Cyanine Dye With Enhanced Photophysical Properties for Optoacoustic‐Guided Cancer Imaging and Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces selenium‐integrated cyanine dye (Se‐Cyn), with superior photostability, absorption, and photothermal efficiency, outperforming ICG in NIR window. Its nanoparticle form remains stable in water, accumulates in tumors, and enables strong optoacoustic imaging and effective phototherapy outcomes.

A rare case of malignant solitary fibrous tumor in prostate with review of the literature

open access: yesDiagnostic Pathology, 2017
Background Solitary fibrous tumor is an uncommon soft tissue neoplasm with intermediate biological behavior, which rarely metastasizes. Malignant solitary fibrous tumor, although not clearly defined, is rarely described in the prostate.

Solitary fibrous tumour of the thyroid gland: a report of two cases with an analysis of their clinical and pathological features.

open access: yes, 2011
Solitary fibrous tumors of the thyroid gland are rare soft-tissue neoplasms and only 24 cases have been reported in the literature to date. We describe two patients who underwent surgery for rapidly growing thyroid nodes of uncertain nature on cytology ...

Microfluidic Nano‐Assembly of Red‐Blood‐Cell (RBC) Lipids and Components for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Engineered red blood cell‐derived extracellular vesicles (eRBCEVs) are synthesized via controlled microfluidic assembly from native RBC lipids, enabling tunable encapsulation of proteins, nucleic acids, nanoparticles, and viral vectors. The platform demonstrates reproducible nanoscale architecture, preserved membrane composition, and functional cargo ...

Myofibroblastoma of breast

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pathology and Microbiology, 2008
Soft tissue neoplasms of breast thought to be derived from Myofibroblasts have been classified as myofibroblastomas. Myofibroblasts are spindle shaped mesenchymal cells derived from fibroblasts.

SOLITARY FIBROUS TUMOR OF THE KIDNEY [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
A solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) are rare mesenchymal neoplasms and due to the fact of their low occurrence, there are no large-scale researches of this nosology today. The article describes the report of 37‑year old woman with the case of solitary fibrous

Calcifying fibrous tumor of the adrenal gland

open access: yes, 2007
Calcifying fibrous tumor is an uncommon entity with distinctive pathologic features. Most calcifying fibrous tumors involve the peripheral soft tissues or serosal surfaces, with reports of visceral examples of this lesion being extremely limited.

Anti‐Inflammatory and Neuroactive Effects of Polymer‐Coated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles Functionalized With Interleukin 4 for Spinal Cord Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Polymer‐coated IONPs functionalized with IL‐4 display respective neuroactive and anti‐inflammatory actions on neural progenitor cells and macrophages/microglia in vitro. When examined chronically in a rat experimental model of spinal cord injury, rGO scaffolds carrying these nanosystems adequately integrate into the lesion, significantly reduce ...

No evidence for oncogenic mutations in guanine nucleotide-binding proteins of human adrenocortical neoplasms [PDF]

open access: yes, 1933
G-Proteins are membrane-bound heterotrimeric polypeptides that couple receptor signals to second messenger systems such as cAMP. Recently, point mutations at 2 codons of the highly preserved alpha-chain of Gs, the adenyl cyclase-stimulating G-protein ...
