Second primary gynecologic neoplasms among breast cancer survivors.

Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2012
1588 Background: Excess of risk of several second primary malignancies after treatment for breast cancer (BC) has been reported. This risk can be related with shared risk factors, cancer susceptibility genes or prior treatments received. Hormonal factors and hormone therapy are known to be risk factors for both BC and some gynecological malignancies.

Second primary cancers in long-term survivors of glioblastoma.

Neuro-Oncology Practice, 2019

Risk prediction of second primary malignancies in primary colorectal neuroendocrine neoplasms patients: a population-based study

Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, 2023
In this study, we aimed to identify risk factors for developing second primary malignancies (SPMs) in colorectal neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) patients and develop a competing-risk nomogram to predict SPMs' probabilities quantitatively.Patients with colorectal NENs were retrospectively collected from the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results ...

Cytotoxic chemotherapy-induced second primary neoplasms: clinical aspects.

Neoplasma, 1991
The incidence of second malignancies was assessed by retrospectively analyzing data from previous studies in well-defined and closely followed patient cohorts. After a median follow-up of more than 6 years following MOPP (mechlorethamine/vincristine/procarbazine/prednisone) chemotherapy with or without radiotherapy, 5% of patients with Hodgkin's ...

Second primary malignant neoplasm in patient with ovarian cancer – case report

Polski Przegląd Otorynolaryngologiczny, 2017
Increase in the occurrence of multiple primary malignant tumours is associated with significant extention of survival rate among patients treated for malignant neoplasm.
