North Ecliptic Pole Wide Field Survey of AKARI: Survey Strategy and Data Characteristics
We present the survey strategy and the data characteristics of the North Ecliptic Pole (NEP) Wide Survey of AKARI. The survey was carried out for about one year starting from May 2006 with 9 passbands from 2.5 to 24 micron and the areal coverage of about

Galaxy-scale lens search in the PEARLS NEP TDF and CEERS JWST fields
ABSTRACT We present four galaxy scale lenses discovered in two James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) blank-fields: the $\sim$54 arcmin$^2$ of the PEARLS North-Ecliptic-Pole Time-Domain Field (NEP TDF) and in the ${\sim}90$ arcmin$^2$ of CEERS. We perform the search by visual inspection of NIRCam photometric data, obtaining an initial list

How consistently do ensemble prediction systems represent the growth of atmospheric uncertainty?
Spread‐based diagnostics calculated for 12 ensemble prediction systems are compared to understand the consistency with which they represent atmospheric uncertainty growth. Good correlation between all these systems is found in the extratropics for a lead time range from 48 hr to between 96 hr and 192 hr.

Net ecosystem productivity (NEP) is a crucial indicator of the carbon balance and health of an ecosystem. Until now, few studies have estimated the NEP of crops and analyzed it in space and time. The study of NEP in crops is crucial for comprehending the

Determination of the Far-Infrared Cosmic Background Using COBE/DIRBE and WHAM Data
Determination of the cosmic infrared background (CIB) at far infrared wavelengths using COBE/DIRBE data is limited by the accuracy to which foreground interplanetary and Galactic dust emission can be modeled and subtracted. Previous determinations of the

Equity in Energy—A Critical Analysis of GESI and Energy Justice Narratives in Energy Transition
ABSTRACT The global energy sector is transitioning from conventional energy sources to cleaner and more sustainable alternatives; however, persistent structural and social barriers continue to undermine equity and inclusivity within this transition. This study examines how Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) and Energy Justice (EJ) principles ...

Scalable Room‐Temperature Terahertz Graphene Cameras
ABSTRACT Terahertz (THz) imaging has emerged as a powerful tool for non‐destructive, label‐free analysis across several scientific disciplines, ranging from materials science to biomedical research. By capturing the spatial‐dependent information in a broad range of frequencies, this technique enables the identification of chemical composition ...

Nonlinear interplay of Alfven instabilities and energetic particles in tokamaks
The confinement of energetic particles (EP) is crucial for an efficient heating of tokamak plasmas. Plasma instabilities such as Alfven Eigenmodes (AE) can redistribute the EP population making the plasma heating less effective, and leading to additional
