ASME 2012 Third International Conference on Micro/Nanoscale Heat and Mass Transfer, 2012
The growing demand for microelectronic systems to be smaller and faster has increased the energy released by these devices in the form of heat. Microelectronic systems such as laptop computers and hand held devices are not exempted from these demands. The primary traditional technologies currently used to remove heat generated in these devices are fins

NUMERICAL INVESTIGATION OF SOLIDIFICATION OF NePCM AND SIMULTANEOUS HEATING OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Computational Thermal Sciences: An International JournalIn this study, the solidification of four types of phase change materials (PCMs)in the shell is investigated to heat up ambient air. The shell is placed in a room, and the effect of addition of aluminum oxide, titanium oxide, and copper oxide, nanoparticles is studied numerically on the thermal behavior of material. The enthalpy porosity method is used

Confined Jet Array Impingement Cooling Using NEPCM Nanofluids
Volume 1: Micro/Nanofluidics and Lab-on-a-Chip; Nanofluids; Micro/Nanoscale Interfacial Transport Phenomena; Micro/Nanoscale Boiling and Condensation Heat Transfer; Micro/Nanoscale Thermal Radiation; Micro/Nanoscale Energy Devices and Systems, 2016The confined jet array impingement cooling using NEPCM (nano-encapsulated phase change material) slurry was investigated numerically using a homogeneous model based on effective heat capacity method. The nanofluids consists of the carrier fluid of polyalphaolefin (PAO) and the NEPCM particles of Polystyrene shell and paraffin core. The distributed slot

Nano-enhanced phase change materials (NePCMs): A review of numerical simulations
Applied Thermal Engineering, 2020Abstract Dispersing thermally conductive nanostructures is an effective method to improve the thermal performance of phase change materials (PCMs). For this purpose, nanocarbons, nanometals, and nano metal oxides have been used to develop nano-enhanced phase change materials (NePCMs) with unique thermal properties.

Thermal management of storage unit reporting unsteady physical behavior of NEPCM
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2023Researchers always like to find way for improving the performance of system integrated with PCM. In this paper, the container was combined with fins and PCM was mixed with nanoparticles to obtain quicker discharging process. Two significant variables related to second technique are fraction of additives ([Formula: see text] and their shapes ([Formula:

Solidification of nano-enhanced phase change material (NEPCM) in a wavy cavity
Heat and Mass Transfer, 2012The effects of surface waviness (λ = 0, 0.125, 0.25, 0.5) and nanoparticle dispersion (ϕ = 0, 0.05, 0.1) on solidification of Cu-water nanofluid inside a vertical enclosure are investigated numerically for different Grashof number (Gr = 105, 106, 107). An enthalpy porosity technique is used to trace the solid and liquid interface.
