In situ enzyme activity in the dissolved and particulate fraction of the fluid from four pitcher plant species of the genus Nepenthes. [PDF]
The genus Nepenthes, a carnivorous plant, has a pitcher to trap insects and digest them in the contained fluid to gain nutrient. A distinctive character of the pitcher fluid is the digestive enzyme activity that may be derived from plants and dwelling ...

A patterned dual‐lubricant SLIPS creates interfacial energy asymmetry, guiding droplet migration without external actuation. Condensed droplets formed on the fluorinated‐oil‐infused regions migrate to the silicone‐oil‐infused domains, where rapid growth and coalescence occur.

Micropatterned Biphasic Printed Electrodes for High‐Fidelity on‐Skin Bioelectronics
Micropatterned biphasic printed electrodes achieve unprecedented skin conformity and low impedance by combining liquid‐metal droplets with microstructured 3D lattices. This scalable approach enables high‐fidelity detection of ECG, EMG, and EEG signals, including alpha rhythms from the forehead, with long‐term comfort and stability.

Demonstration of the Potential Antioxidant and Protective Effects of Gallic acid (GA) in LPS‐Induced ARDS/ALI. LPS triggers inflammatory cascades leading to disruption of epithelial–alveolar membrane integrity, pro‐inflammatory cytokine release (IL‐6, IL‐1β, IL‐17A), fluid passage, and edema, ultimately resulting in ARDS and ALI.

Discovering PETases: An Interlink Between Engineering Enzymes and Microbiomes
In this review‐type article, we discuss some recent trends in the identification of polyethylene terephthalate‐degrading enzymes (PETases) from nature. We highlight that the discovery of novel PETases can be improved by an interlink between reshaping microbiomes and engineering proteins.
