Specific Proteins Analysis by Nephelometry and Turbidimetry

1988
The phenomenal rise in the past decade of clinical chemistry methods has brought about increased demands for more rapid, precise and economic assays. In the assay of serum proteins for either diagnostic or medical care purposes, these demands have been met largely by the development of automated immunoassays employing modern instrumental hardware ...

Protein Standardization III: Method Optimization. Basic Principles for Quantitative Determination of Human Serum Proteins on Automated Instruments Based on Turbidimetry or Nephelometry

Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, 2001
Quantitative protein determinations in routine laboratories are today most often carried out using automated instruments. However, slight variations in the assay principle, in the programming of the instrument or in the reagents may lead to different results. This has led to the prerequisite of method optimization and standardization.

Characterization and elimination of a factor in serum that interferes with turbidimetry and nephelometry of lipase.

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 1983
Abstract We studied a serum component ("pseudolipase") that interferes with both turbidimetric and nephelometric lipase measurements. Pseudolipase activity in serum was found in the presence of rheumatoid factor and in other disorders of active immune processes.

Nephelometry and turbidimetry with paired emitter detector diodes and their application for determination of total urinary protein

Analytica Chimica Acta, 2013
Two miniature and compact optoelectronic devices fabricated by means of integration of light emitting diodes have been developed for turbidimetric and nephelometric measurements. These devices are operating according to paired-emitter-detector-diode (PEDD) principle.

[Nephelometry or turbidimetry for the determination of albumin, ApoA, CRP, haptoglobin, IgM and transthyretin: which choice?].

Annales de biologie clinique, 2008
Nephelometry, which is considered as the reference method for serum proteins determination requires a specific equipment. The majority of protein determinations are therefore carried out on biochemistry automats using turbidimetry. The objective of a CNBH group (Collège national de biochimie des hôpitaux) was to compare nephelometry and turbidimetry ...
