Expression of neuropeptides – galanin and Reg2 - in subcategories of nociceptors after nerve injury
PhDNeuropeptides show dynamic changes in expression after nerve injury, and have been implicated in chronic pain states. I sought to compare expression of two peptides which are upregulated after nerve injury, galanin and Reg2, and to determine the ...

Different nerve fibers may have disparate conduction parameters even though they are in the same peripheral nerve. Hyperglycemia can have differential effects on nerve fibers, depending on diameter. In diabetes, conventional nerve conduction studies have

Polymorph‐Specific Electronic Transduction in WO3 during Molecular Sensing
Metal‐oxide polymorphs with similar surface chemistry can nevertheless exhibit distinct sensing properties. In γ‐ and ε‐WO3, analyte adsorption appears comparable; yet, only ε‐WO3 induces a pronounced lattice electronic perturbation that accommodates charge in sub‐conduction band minimum states.

Pathological changes of human unmyelinated nerve fibers: a review [PDF]
In the cutaneous nerves, unmyelinated nerve fibers outnumber the myelinated ones but are scarcely analyzed, especially at autopsy. This indifference toward the pathology of unmyelinated nerve fibers may be due to the necessity of electron microscopic
