Cancer-Related PRUNE2 Protein Is Associated with Nucleotides and Is Highly Expressed in Mature Nerve Tissues

open access: closedJournal of Molecular Neuroscience, 2011
Human PRUNE is thought to enhance the metastasis of tumor cells. We found that a hypothetical paralog of PRUNE, PRUNE2, binds to 8-oxo-GTP, an oxidized form of GTP. Hypothetical PRUNE2 gene consists of C9orf65 and BMCC1/BNIPXL, both of which are malignant tumor-associated genes.

Changes of cytoskeletal proteins in nerve tissues and serum of rats treated with 2,5-hexanedione

open access: closedToxicology, 2007
To investigate the mechanisms and biomarker of the neuropathy induced by 2,5-hexanedione (HD), male Wistar rats were administrated HD at dosage of 200 or 400mg/kg for 8 weeks (five-times per week). All rats were sacrificed after 8 weeks of treatment and the cerebrum cortex (CC), spinal cord (SC) and sciatic nerves (SN) were dissected, homogenized and ...

[Characteristics of various nerve tissue proteins using group-specific sorbents].

open access: closedUkrainskii biokhimicheskii zhurnal (1978), 1986
The use of micro-scale column chromatography and affinity immunoelectrophoresis with group-specific sorbents allows studying some physical and chemical properties of protein molecules. A comparison of properties of soluble and membrane brain amino-peptidases carried out by means of micro-scale phenyl-sepharose and ConA-sepharose column chromatography ...

[Comparative assessment of quantitative methods of determining proteins in nerve tissue structures].

open access: closedTsitologiia, 1977
The determination of the amount and concentration of protein substances in structures of neuron tissue by two most popular methods of quantitative histochemistry (cytophotometry and interferometry) revealed a significant comparability of the data provided by the two methods.

[Antibodies against nerve tissue proteins S100, GFAP, and MP65 and pregnant women with early toxemia].

open access: closedVoprosy meditsinskoi khimii, 2000
Serum levels/affinities of natural autoantibodies to proteins S100, GFAP and MP65 in patients with physiological pregnancy are usually constant and may vary among individuals within relatively narrow range. In patients with early toxicosis in pregnancy dispersion of serum autoantibodies levels were often found beyond the normal range.

Whole intact tissue electrophoresis of nerve proteins

Journal of Neuroscience Methods, 1993
We describe a rapid and simple method for analyzing proteins along the length of a nerve tissue using sodium dodecylsulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE). A long length of nerve tissue is placed on a slab gel, layered with SDS-buffer, and electrophoresed.
