19 arteriovenous malformations (AVM’s) were identified between January 1987 and May 1981 from archival material in the Departement of Anatomical Pathology of the Royal Melbourne Hospital. Eleven cases were in males (57.8%) and 8 in females (42.2%). Eighteen AVM’s were unilateral and distributed evenly throughout all the major lobes.
