This study shows that stem‐like cells isolated from breast cancer brain metastases drive the spread and growth of tumors in the brain. Among them, a highly adhesive subgroup initiates metastasis and resists many drugs. By closely reflecting patient tumors, these models help identify new targets and improve the development of effective treatments ...

Bottom‐Up Programming of Cell States in Cancer Organoids with Defined Synthetic Adhesion Cues
A bottom‐up biomaterial platform is developed to program transcriptomic states in pancreatic cancer organoids by tuning adhesion cues within synthetic matrices. By combining a Design of Experiments framework with multiobjective optimization, matrix compositions are identified that enrich specific cellular programs like EMT.

Magnetic Nonlinear Energy Sink for Vibration Attenuation of Unbalanced Rotor System
A novel nonlinear energy sink (NES) consisting of permanent magnetic springs and coil springs is proposed, and the vibration attenuation performance of the NES for unbalanced rotor system is investigated. Firstly, the nonlinearity of the magnet spring is

Non-critical superstrings: a comparison between continuum and discrete approaches
We review the relation between the matrix model and Liouville approaches to two-dimensional gravity as elaborated by Moore, Seiberg and Staudacher. Then, based on the supersymmetric Liouville formulation and the discrete eigenvalue model proposed by ...

Photocatalytic Water Splitting on the Lunar Surface: Prospects for In Situ Resource Utilization
Water has been found in craters on the moon nearby locations which are illuminated >80% of the time. Photocatalysis uses energy from sunlight to drive chemical reactions such as water splitting to produce oxygen and hydrogen. It is a scalable technology that requires lighter equipment and utilizes resources available on the moon. ABSTRACT The discovery
