Hypoglycaemia detection and prediction techniques: A systematic review on the latest developments

open access: yesDiabetes/Metabolism Research and Reviews, Volume 37, Issue 7, October 2021., 2021
Abstract The main objective of diabetes control is to correct hyperglycaemia while avoiding hypoglycaemia, especially in insulin‐treated patients. Fear of hypoglycaemia is a hurdle to effective correction of hyperglycaemia because it promotes under‐dosing of insulin.

Nesidioblastosis in adults

open access: yesNeoplasma, 2014
The persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia may be caused either by a solitary tumor of the pancreas secreting excessive amount of insulin, known as insulinoma or, rarely, by nesidioblastosis. Nesidioblastosis is a rare cause of persistent hyperinsulinemic hypoglycemia in adults.

Brunner’s Gland Hyperplasia in a Patient after Roux‐Y Gastric Bypass: An Important Pitfall in GLP‐1 Receptor Imaging

open access: yesCase Reports in Endocrinology, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
Severe cases of postprandial hypoglycaemia after bariatric surgery can be a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. The diagnostic role of 68Ga‐DOTA‐Exendin‐4 PET/CT in postbariatric hypoglycaemia for further treatment decisions is unclear. We present a case of a 50‐year‐old woman with frequent and severe postprandial hypoglycaemic (≤2.5 mmol/L) episodes
