High‐Throughput In Vivo Screening Using Barcoded mRNA Identifies Lipid Nanoparticles With Extrahepatic Tropism for In Situ Immunoengineering

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A high‐throughput in vivo mRNA LNP screening platform is developed and employed to screen a large library of 122 mRNA LNPs in vivo for delivery to immune, stromal, and parenchymal cells, identifying promising LNP candidates. A novel small particle flow cytometry‐based protein adsorption analysis method is utilized to interrogate protein corona ...

Sea turtle nesting activity along Eglin Air Force Base on Cape San Blas and Santa Rosa Island, Florida from 1994 to 1997. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Along EAFB on Cape San BIas, the only sea turtle species nest observed has been the loggerhead turtle. The first green turtle nest documented along the Florida panhandle coast was observed on EAFB property, however (D. Atencio, EAFB, pers.

Porous Bi2S3 Bulk With Excellent Thermoelectric Performance by Solid States Replacement and Low Melting‐Point Metal Volatilization

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
By introducing FeCoNi medium‐entropy alloy, the bismuth sulfide (Bi2S3) material achieves a record‐high ZT of 1.1 at 773 K, owing to the solid‐states replacement reaction and the volatilization of low melting‐point metal. This strategy is also applicable to other sulfur‐based thermoelectric materials.

Nesting maps of Grassmannians

open access: yes, 2003
Let F be a field and i < j be integers between 1 and n. A map of Grassmannians f : Gr(i, F^n) --> Gr(j, F^n) is called nesting, if l is contained in f(l) for every l in Gr(i, F^n). We show that there are no continuous nesting maps over C and no algebraic

Serotonergic System‐Targeted Nucleic Acid Hydrogel Coordinates Excitability Restoration and Circuit Reconstruction for Spinal Cord Injury Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The study reports a DNA/RNA heteroduplex hydrogel (SeroPTEN‐CG) that undergoes DNase‐mediated hydrogel‐to‐nanogel transition for spinal cord injury therapy by targeting the serotonergic system, combining 5‐hydroxytryptamine (5‐HT)‐mediated excitability restoration to reactivate dormant interneurons with phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN)‐targeted ...

Productive foraging grounds enhance maternal condition and offspring quality in a capital breeding species

open access: yesEcology and Evolution
Feeding ecology is an essential component of an organism's life, but foraging comes with risks and energetic costs. Species in which populations exhibit more than one feeding strategy, such as sea turtles, are good systems for investigating how feeding ...

Unveiling Complementary Unipolar Electrical Transport in ZnO‐Co3O4 Core–Shell Nanowires Exploiting Iontronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Complementary unipolar electrical transport is demonstrated in ZnO‐Co3O4 core–shell nanowires, by engineering multi‐terminal device architectures that allow to selectively address different sections of the nanostructure and resorting on ionic liquid gating for conformal capacitive coupling and field effect control.
