[Chlorophyll content and net photosynthetic rate of Machilus pauhoi and M. leptophylla].

Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2009
By using SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter, LI-6400 portable photosynthesis system, and spectrophotometer, the leaf SPAD value, net photosynthetic rate (Pn), and chlorophyll (a + b) content (Ct) of 3-year-old Machilus pauhoi and M. leptophylla seedlings were measured, and the relationships of SPAD value with Pn and Ct were analyzed. The M.

The simulation of three-dimensional canopy net photosynthetic rate of apple tree

Acta Ecologica Sinica, 2012
The distribution of photosynthesis within the canopy determines the productivity and quality in a fruit orchard.A model of photosynthesis was developed to simulate the three-dimensional(3-D) distribution of leaf net photosynthetic rate(Pn),stomatal conductance(Gs) and light use efficiency(LUE) in apple canopy. The experiment was conducted in a 'Fuji ...

Effects of elevated CO2 on net photosynthetic rate of trees in Changbai Mountain

Journal of Forestry Research, 1999
Net photosynthetic rates (NPRs) of four species seedlings,Pinus koraiensis, Pinus sylvestriformis, Fraxinus mandshurica andPhellodendron amurense, were measured at different CO2 concentrations and time respectively in Changbai Mountain during the growing season in 1999.

Estimation of the net photosynthetic rate for waterlogged winter wheat based on digital image technology

Agronomy Journal, 2023
AbstractThe net photosynthetic rate (Pn) is one of the important indicators to measure photosynthetic capacity of crops. Therefore, it is critically important to find real‐time methods for accurately estimating Pn of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). This information could provide guidance on the management of waterlogging stress.

Diurnal changes in net photosynthetic rate of Pueraria lobata and its impact factors

Forestry Studies in China, 2011
In order to identify the relationship between diurnal changes in the net photosynthetic rate (Pn) of Pueraria lobata and environmental factors, diurnal changes in the Pn of leaves of two P. lobata cultivars were measured using a CIRAS-1 portable photosynthesis measurement system (PP-Systems, UK).

A simulation of global regimes of potential leaf net photosynthetic rates

Archives for Meteorology, Geophysics, and Bioclimatology Series B, 1982
Worldwide patterns of leaf net photosynthetic rates are produced by a parameterized model (PHOTO 1) in relation to plant climates. PHOTO 1 produces a continuum of photosynthetic plant leaf responses to climatic variables via its two submodels which characterize the phtosynthetic activity of generalized C4 and C3 plants.

Diurnal variation of net Photosynthetic rate in some Tropical Deciduous tree species

Indian Journal of Forestry, 2000
Diurnal leaf net photosynthetic rate was measured from 06.00 to 18.00 hours in summer and winter seasons in seven indigenous tropical deciduous tree species, viz., Chukrasia tabularis, Dolichandrone atrovirens, Eugenia jambolana, Gmelina arborea, Lannea coromandelica, Terminalia arjuna and Terminalia bellirica.

Functional linkages between leaf traits and net photosynthetic rate: reconciling empirical and mechanistic models

Functional Ecology, 2005
Summary We had two objectives: (i) to determine the generality of, and extend the applicability of, a previously reported empirical relationship between leaf‐level net photosynthetic rate (AM, nmol g−1 s−1), specific leaf area (SLA, m2 kg−1) and leaf nitrogen mass fraction (NM, mmol g−1); and (ii) to compare these empirical results with a mechanistic ...

Exogenously applied 20-hydroxyecdysone increases the net photosynthetic rate but does not affect the photosynthetic electron transport or the content of photosynthetic pigments in Tetragonia tetragonioides L.

Acta Physiologiae Plantarum, 2013
Phytoecdysteroids are steroid compounds present in many plant species (sometimes in rather large amounts), but their biological role is still far from being clear. We have found that the exogenous application of 20-hydroxyecdysone (20E) to leaves of Tetragonia tetragonioides L. causes stimulation of its net photosynthetic rate (P N) but

A Severe Drought: Impact on Tree Growth, Phenology, Net Photosynthetic Rate and Water Relations

American Midland Naturalist, 1979
An unusually severe drought occurred in central Missouri during the summer of 1976. The drought resulted in an average soil water potential of ?26.1 bars in the upper 45 cm of soil profile in spite of the addition of 4.9 cm of irrigation water. It enabled us to examine its effects on phenology, growth and physiological processes, as well as the water ...
