A Comparison of Solar Radiation and Net Radiation 1, 2
Bulletin of the American Meteorological Society, 1956Daily values of solar and net radiation at Ames, Iowa were compared for the period, late June through November, 1954. It was found that by dividing the data into two groups, clear days and cloudy days, regression lines could be computed which fitted the data very well.

ON THE OBSERVATION OF TOTAL AND NET ATMOSPHERIC RADIATION
Journal of Meteorology, 1960Abstract Simultaneous night observations with four different sensors for the long-wave atmospheric radiation were obtained with a radiosonde, specially equipped for this purpose. The sensors consisted of (1) a radiometersonde as developed by Sumoi and Kuhn, (2) a disc-type total radiometer, and (3) two spherical total radiometers (i.e., a ‘black ball ...

A note on the relationship between net radiation and solar radiation
Quarterly Journal of the Royal Meteorological Society, 1967AbstractLinear relationships between daytime net radiation (Rn) and solar radiation (Q) have been determined for West Africa and for selected stations throughout the world. For three West African stations.Rn = 0·612 Q −28And for fourteen stations throughout the worldRn = 0·617 Q −24Where Rn and Q are in g cal cm−2 day−1.The surfaces represented have ...

Solar and net radiation in Peninsular Malaysia
Journal of Climatology, 1983AbstractLinear regression equations relating the global solar radiation and sunshine duration are derived for a total of 14 stations in Peninsular Malaysia. Mean monthly global solar radiation values for other stations which have only sunshine data are estimated using these regression equations.

Solar radiation, net radiation and temperature in Argonne, Chicago
Solar Energy, 1973Abstract Variations in the annual, seasonal and diurnal patterns of temperature and global and net radiation have been presented. Annual, seasonal and diurnal relationships between global and net radiation and between temperature and radiation have also been determined.

High-resolution net-shortwave and net-radiation products for Europe
Net radiation (Rn) is a key control on land–atmosphere exchanges and a primary forcing for transpiration modelling. However, commonly used radiation products often lack the spatial resolution required to resolve soil–plant–atmosphere interactions in heterogeneous landscapes, limiting their applicability for water management studies.Karan Mahajan, Ye Tuo, Jian Peng

Net Radiation Studies in the Schefferville Area
ARCTIC, 1963Describes summer 1961 radiation measurements in northern Quebec - Labrador. The study was made (methods noted) to test a correlation established by Orvig (No. 74547) from data obtained in 1958, viz a correlation coefficient of 0.777 between the mean daytime net flux and the daily total short-wave radiation.
