Design and Expression Optimization of a Chimeric Derivative of NetB, Alpha-Toxin and Metallopeptidase Proteins as a Subunit Vaccine Against Clostridium perfringens [PDF]
Avian necrotic enteritis (NE) is a multi-virulence disease caused by the bacterium Clostridium perfringens. Several toxins of this bacteria are components of different candidate vaccines, and have been considered as important factors in pathogenesis of NE.

Enteric Pathogens and Coinfections in Foals with and without Diarrhea
Diarrhea is a major clinical problem affecting foals up to 3 months of age. The aim of this study was to identify enteric microorganisms involved in monoinfections and coinfections and the associated virulence factors in healthy and diarrheic foals.

Clostridium perfringens is responsible for Necrotic enteritis (NE) that has been economically important for poultry industry due to the costs of antimicrobial prophylaxis and ineffective feed conversion. Alpha and NetB toxin beside their functions as virulent factor could be major targets for protections and immunity of host against C.

[Retracted] Role of Wheat Based Diet on the Pathology of Necrotic Enteritis in Turkeys
The study was conducted to investigate the effects of wheat based diet on the pathology of necrotic enteritis in turkeys. Turkeys were divided into four groups. Groups A and B were kept as noninoculated and fed normal commercial diet while groups C and D were challenged orally with C.

Genomic adaptation of Clostridium perfringens to human intestine
This study performed genomic analysis on Clostridium perfringens from humans in China. There are regional and transregional transmissions of C. perfringens among individuals. cpe was first identified on a pCW3‐like and pCP13‐like fusion plasmid. Genomic characteristics of C. perfringens are associated with host species. Abstract Clostridium perfringens
