The advantage of a qualitative approach is that no rate constants are needed to determine qualitative features of the dynamics.

If the initial conditions can be determined, the use of ideal switches can considerably speed up analysis and can make the results easier to understand.

We present a technique to represent the structure of large social networks through ego-centered network neighborhoods. This provides a local view of the network, focusing on the vertices and their kth order neighborhoods allowing discovery of interesting patterns and features of the network that would be hidden in a global network analysis.

In this paper we study via a queueing analogy a stochastic model of a neural network of Purkinje cells proposed by (Cottrell 1991). In this model only the inhibitory interaction between the cells is considered. We analyze the stability properties of networks whose graph is complete N-partite.
