Design of the PRAM network

Proceedings of the Second IEEE Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Processing 1990, 2002
The Princeton University PRAM computer network provides process to process data transmission rates equivalent to memory access rates with negligible latency penalties and currently costs less than $1000.00 per gigabit/sec. of network bandwidth. The PRAM network architecture described scales to very large computer networks using fast optical technology.

Network Design with Weighted Players

Theory of Computing Systems, 2006
The paper contributes to the network design methods treated by means of tools of the algorithmic games. Selfish players select paths in a network, minimizing their costs which are specified in accordance with Shapley cost shares. For the game with identical players, the cost share incurred by a player for an edge is the fixed cost for each of them. The

Cloudlet network design optimization

2015 IFIP Networking Conference (IFIP Networking), 2015
Major interest is currently given to the integration of clusters of virtualization servers, also referred to as `cloudlets', into the access network to allow higher performance and reliability in the access to mobile cloud services. We tackle the cloudlet network design problem for mobile access networks.

Design of Survivable Networks: A survey

Networks, 2005
AbstractFor the past few decades, combinatorial optimization techniques have been shown to be powerful tools for formulating and solving optimization problems arising from practical situations. In particular, many network design problems have been formulated as combinatorial optimization problems.

Design of Neural Networks

2007
The paper offers a critical analysis of the procedure observed in many applications of neural networks. Given a problem to be solved, a favorite NN-architecture is chosen and its parameters tuned with some standard training algorithm, but without taking in consideration relevant features of the problem or possibly its interdisciplinary nature.
