Optimal design in collaborative design network
Proceedings of the fourth international joint conference on Autonomous agents and multiagent systems, 2005We consider a multiagent system whose task is to aid component-centered design by collaborative designers in a supply chain. In the earlier work, collaborative design networks are proposed as a decision-theoretic framework for such a system. In this work, we analyzes how choice of agent interface affects the computational complexity of collaborative ...

Network protection design for MPLS networks
DRCN 2005). Proceedings.5th International Workshop on Design of Reliable Communication Networks, 2005., 2006In this paper, we consider the problem of designing partially and fully survivable explicit label switched paths for MPLS networks. We model the problems as mixed integer linear programs. Furthermore, we present a survivability assessment of the models.

Design for networks-The ultimate design for X
Bell Labs Technical Journal, 2005The true test of how a vendor's systems work is how they work with the service provider's existing systems and with other vendors' systems in operating networks. In this paper, we present various concepts, including design for X (DFX), and introduce the concept of design for networks (DFN), the objective of which is a working, revenue-generating ...

Network Design with Weighted Players
Theory of Computing Systems, 2006The paper contributes to the network design methods treated by means of tools of the algorithmic games. Selfish players select paths in a network, minimizing their costs which are specified in accordance with Shapley cost shares. For the game with identical players, the cost share incurred by a player for an edge is the fixed cost for each of them. The

The Princeton University PRAM computer network provides process to process data transmission rates equivalent to memory access rates with negligible latency penalties and currently costs less than $1000.00 per gigabit/sec. of network bandwidth. The PRAM network architecture described scales to very large computer networks using fast optical technology.

The paper offers a critical analysis of the procedure observed in many applications of neural networks. Given a problem to be solved, a favorite NN-architecture is chosen and its parameters tuned with some standard training algorithm, but without taking in consideration relevant features of the problem or possibly its interdisciplinary nature.
