A New Model for Locating Plate Recognition Devices to Minimize the Impact of the Uncertain Knowledge of the Routes on Traffic Estimation Results

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Transportation, 2020
A number of research papers have recently shown that the use of techniques based on the installation of vehicle identification devices allows us to address the observability problem of a traffic network in a much more efficient way than if it were done ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Flow Splitter: A Deep Reinforcement Learning-Based Flow Scheduler for Hybrid Optical-Electrical Data Center Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Hybrid optical-electrical switching based data center network (HOE-DCN) has been regarded as a promising architecture for the next generation data center network (DCN). To achieve traffic optimization, the main superiority of HOE-DCN is its capability to

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Agent-Based Model for Automaticity Management of Traffic Flows across the Network

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2017
This paper presents an agent-based model that performs the management of traffic flows in a network with the purpose of observing in a simulation of distinctive congestion scenarios how the automation of the monitoring task improves the network ...

A network-based view of regional growth

open access: yes, 2014
The need to better understand the mechanisms underlying regional growth patterns is widely recognised. This paper argues that regional growth is partly a function of the value created through inter-organisational flows of knowledge within and across ...

Autonomic diagnosis of anomalous network traffic. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Network traffic abnormalities pose one of the greatest threats for networked environments. Autonomic communications offer a solution: it should be possible to design network mechanisms that behave adaptively and respond to any anomalous phenomenon that ...
