Nonlinear permuted Granger causality

open access: yesCanadian Journal of Statistics, EarlyView.
Abstract Granger causality is an established, contentious method that seeks causal temporal connections via association and precedence. While not true causal inference, it assists in mapping networks of information flow that may warrant further study.

Upper bound limit analysis of coral reef limestone cavern roof stability incorporating a tension‐shear failure mechanism with tensile‐strength cut‐off

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
For the roof of coral reef limestone caverns, a novel tension‐shear composite failure mechanism was developed. The most critical tensile crack model was identified using a hybrid optimization algorithm, and the stability of the cavern roof was analyzed accordingly.

Cluster-Based Resource Allocation for Spectrum-Sharing Femtocell Networks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2016
Femtocells in two-tier femto-macro networks can enhance indoor coverage and improve overall network performance. Macro networks may share spectrum with overlaid femtocells so as to improve spectral efficiency.

Cysteine Peptidases in Antitumor Immunity: Unraveling Antigen‐Presenting Cell Regulation and Therapeutic Potential

open access: yesiMetaMed, EarlyView.
This review systematically summarizes the central role of cysteine peptidases in modulating antigen‐presenting cell (APC) function and antitumor immune responses, highlighting their critical significance in overcoming tumor immune evasion. Current research has established that cysteine peptidase subtypes, including cathepsins B, S, L, and X, exert ...

Analysis of individualized brain–gut association networks and transcriptional patterns in major depressive disorder

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Individualized brain–gut association networks suggest potential neuropathological mechanisms in MDD and MDDSI. Multilevel brain–gut association changes involving HSV‐1 and inflammation may be relevant to MDD, whereas alterations related to insulin metabolism may play a potential role in the neuropathological mechanisms of MDDSI.

Investigating Mixed‐Integer Programming Approaches for the p$$ p $$‐α$$ \alpha $$‐Closest‐Center Problem

open access: yesNetworks, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this work, we introduce and study the p$$ p $$‐α$$ \alpha $$‐closest‐center problem (pα$$ p\alpha $$CCP), which is a generalization of the p$$ p $$‐second‐center problem, a recently emerged variant of the classical (discrete) p‐center problem.
