Graph Theory and Electric Networks
IRE Transactions on Circuit Theory, 1959In this discussion, we mention the following topics concerning electric networks in graph theoretic terms: Kirch. hoff's Laws, mesh and node equations, and matrix tree theorem; flow problems and Menger's theorem; boolean functions and enumeration and synthesis problems; information theory and Markov chains; cut sets and incidence matrices; the "crummy ...

Abstract Social networks should be conceptualized as patterns of meaning. These arise over the course of communication and structure it in turn. This builds on (1) the interplay of social networks and meaning as laid out in relational sociology around Harrison White, and (2) Niklas Luhmann’s theory of communication.

This paper introduces a new trade model type. It combines the gravity model, well-known in international economics, with network theory. With this approach, complicated trade networks can be algebraically solved in form of systems of linear (differential) equations.
