Compost legacy effects in active roadside restoration: Medium‐term shifts in plant succession

Environmental Microbiology, Volume 28, Issue 4, April 2026.In this cultivation‐based study, two novel moderately thermophilic Nitrospira enrichments were obtained from the geothermal field Las Máquinas in the Neuquén Province, Argentina. Both nitrite oxidizers, belonging to lineage V or the novel taxonomic lineage VIII, contain quorum‐sensing genes and a high genome GC content of 60.6% and 69.4%.
