LSON-IP: Lightweight Sparse Occupancy Network for Instance Perception

open access: yesWorld Electric Vehicle Journal
The high computational demand of dense voxel representations severely limits current vision-centric 3D semantic occupancy prediction methods, despite their capacity for granular scene understanding. This challenge is particularly acute in safety-critical

SyntheticFur dataset for neural rendering

open access: yes, 2021
We introduce a new dataset called SyntheticFur built specifically for machine learning training. The dataset consists of ray traced synthetic fur renders with corresponding rasterized input buffers and simulation data files. We procedurally generated approximately 140,000 images and 15 simulations with Houdini.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

EG-HumanNeRF: Efficient generalizable human NeRF utilizing human prior for sparse view

open access: yesComputational Visual Media
Generalizable neural radiance fields (NeRFs) enable neural-based digital human rendering without per-scene retraining. When combined with human prior knowledge, high-quality human rendering can be achieved even with sparse input views.

Deferred Neural Rendering for View Extrapolation [PDF]

open access: yesSIGGRAPH Asia 2020 Posters, 2020
Image-based rendering methods that support visually pleasing specular surface reflections require accurate surface geometry and a large number of input images. Recent advances in neural scene representations show excellent visual quality while requiring only imperfect mesh proxies or no surface-based proxies at all.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
