Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Robust 3D Human Reconstruction System From Sparse Views in Outdoor Environments
We propose a novel 3D human reconstruction system designed for diverse settings including outdoor environments. Existing methods face the challenges of portability, robustness, and adaptability to environmental variations, as they often rely on sensor ...

SfSNet: Learning Shape, Reflectance and Illuminance of Faces in the Wild
We present SfSNet, an end-to-end learning framework for producing an accurate decomposition of an unconstrained human face image into shape, reflectance and illuminance. SfSNet is designed to reflect a physical lambertian rendering model.

ABSTRACT Background Survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) often exhibit early deficits in muscle and movement competence, which can compromise long‐term health. Integrative neuromuscular training (INT), a multifaceted approach combining fundamental movement activities with strength exercises, may help address these deficits during ...

Depth and Semantic Guided 3D Gaussian Splatting With Synthetic-View Fine-Tuning
Recent advances in 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) have enabled real-time photorealistic rendering for large-scale urban reconstruction. However, reconstruction fidelity still degrades in regions where constraints are weak, whether due to insufficient ...

Single-image Tomography: 3D Volumes from 2D Cranial X-Rays [PDF]
As many different 3D volumes could produce the same 2D x-ray image, inverting this process is challenging. We show that recent deep learning-based convolutional neural networks can solve this task. As the main challenge in learning is the sheer amount of

Transport-Based Neural Style Transfer for Smoke Simulations
Artistically controlling fluids has always been a challenging task. Optimization techniques rely on approximating simulation states towards target velocity or density field configurations, which are often handcrafted by artists to indirectly control ...

Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative
