A study of individual neuro-muscular junctions in myotonia
Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology, 1966Abstract In this study the electrophysiological and anatomical characteristics of human myotonic muscle fibers have been compared with normal controls. The main abnormalities in the myotonic fibers appear to be partial depolarization and spontaneous oscillations in trans-membrane potential.

De novo Formation of Neuro-muscular Junctions in Tissue Culture
Nature, 1968IN the course of studies of the relationships which develop between explants of chick embryo spinal cord and muscle in vitro, we have found electron microscopic appearances strongly suggestive of the de novo formation of neuromuscular junctions.

The Neuro-Muscular Junction and Curare
Nature, 1933WHEN, some years ago, I suggested1 that the phenomena associated with the action of drugs on muscle might more appropriately be explained by reference to the actual facts of minute anatomy than to a hypothetical neuro-muscular junction, what I had in mind was the histological conditions present at the eminences of Doyere and not the “part of the nerve ...

The effects of bicyclic phosphate esters on the invertebrate and vertebrate neuro-muscular junctions
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part C: Comparative Pharmacology, 1977Abstract 1. 1. The effects of bicyclic organophosphate esters (4-substituted 2,6,7-trioxa-1-phosphabicyclo [2.2.2]octane 1-oxides) on the miniature inhibitory junction potentials (m.i.j.p.s) of the longitudinal muscle of earthworm, Pheretimma communissima, were investigated. 2. 2.

Ultrastructural observations on rapid formation of neuro-muscular junctions in vitro
Cell and Tissue Research, 1981The development of neuro-muscular junctions (mouse, rat) from the time of first contact between neurons and myotubes in culture and the changes which lead to the formation of functional synaptic contacts have been investigated using light microscopy and ultrastructural techniques.

Transmitter secretion in neuro-muscular junctions of different length and RAMIFI-cation
Neurophysiology, 1994Nerve terminals with different length of their branches and with different types of ramification have been studied in the experiments performed on frog cutaneous-pectoralis muscle using electrophysiological and morphological techniques. It has been found that the spatial distribution of the nerve impulse-evoked transmitter secretion along each terminal
