Therapeutic Applications of Stimuli‐Based Release and Engineering of Extracellular Vesicles
This review summarizes the effects of endogenous and exogenous stimuli, their effects on the natural release of extracellular vesicles, as well as their uptake and release. It also gives an overview of stimuli‐responsive EVs and their therapeutic applications. Extracellular vesicles (EVs), nano‐ to microsized lipid bilayer membrane‐bound particles, are

The effects of restricted nursing (RN) and the administration of a bovine appeasing substance (BAS) on days −8 and 0 in relation to weaning were evaluated. Both strategies were effective in improving the growth performance of beef calves. Regarding welfare, BAS ‐especially on day 0‐ was more effective than RN.

Heat stress disrupts gut microbial balance in poultry, impairing nutrient absorption and immunity. This review outlines the interplay between thermal stress and microbiome dynamics and discusses integrative mitigation strategies, probiotics, phytogenics, cooling systems, and genetic adaptation to enhance poultry resilience.

Intensive or organic farming systems may expose pigs to management or environmental challenges. Our preliminary results concluded that organic farming might enhance adaptive immune function, showing that improvements in welfare can translate into measurable immunological benefits, based on the correlation between welfare assessment and physiological ...

Neuroendocrine breast carcinoma
Neuroendocrine breast cancer (NEBC) is a rare and heterogeneous entity. It most commonly presents a luminal phenotype and a worse prognosis. When diagnosed in an advanced stage, metastasis from another neuroendocrine tumor should be excluded. This case features a premenopausal woman with an oligometastatic breast large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma ...

Our paper systematically reviews the intestinal structure, function, and microbiota of ostriches, along with strategies for improving their gut health. We analyze how these factors collectively influence intestinal homeostasis and ostrich welfare, emphasizing probiotics as a promising intervention to enhance gut health, boost population well‐being, and

Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors
Pancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (pNENs) are a heterogeneous group of tumors including well differentiated pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (pNETs) and neuroendocrine carcinomas (pNECs). The incidence of pNENs has increased over the past few decades.

Stress rapidly suppresses in vivo LH pulses and increases activation of RFRP-3 neurons in male mice [PDF]
Restraint stress is a psychosocial stressor that suppresses reproductive status, including LH pulsatile secretion, but the neuroendocrine mechanisms underlying this inhibition remains unclear.

SGLT2 inhibitors and GLP‐1 receptor agonists modestly lower blood pressure across diverse patient populations, including those without diabetes. These effects appear largely independent of glycaemic control and offer additive value in high‐risk patients with overlapping comorbidities.
