MYC regulates ductal-neuroendocrine lineage plasticity in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma associated with poor outcome and chemoresistance

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Neuroendocrine differentiation of epithelial tumor cells can contribute to cancer cell resistance and survival. Here, the authors show that dysregulated c-Myc promotes neuroendocrine differentiation in pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma, leading to poor ...

Moderately Differentiated Neuroendocrine Carcinoma of the Larynx

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Otorhinolaryngology, 2008
Neuroendocrine neoplasm of the larynx is a morphologically heterogeneous group of tumors. This unusual neoplasm includes the four different type of tumors. Paraganglioma is the best-known neural origin tumor. The epithelial origin tumor is further divided based on the degree of differentiation into well, moderately, and poorly differentiated carcinoma.

Expanding Genetic Code to Generate Human Brain Organoids with Both Vasculature and Microglia‐Like Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using genetic code expansion, we engineered vascularized human cerebral organoids (vhCOs) with microglia‐like cells and blood‐brain barrier features. vhCOs recapitulate neurovascular interactions, regional identities, and neuronal subtypes resembling the fetal brain.

Targeting the YAP‐BST2 Axis Overcomes Intrinsic Anti‐PD‐1 Resistance in Metastatic Gastric Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Concurrent YAP hyperactivation and Tp53 loss in Atp4b‐expressed parietal cell lineage drives gastric cancer initiation, multi‐organ metastasis, and intrinsic resistance to anti‐PD‐1 therapy. BST2 emerges as a direct YAP‐TEAD transcriptional target that engages PIRA2 on myeloid cells to establish an immunosuppressive microenvironment.

Oral Recombinant Human Collagen III Protects Gastric Mucosa via G‐Quadruplex‐Mediated Activation of the Pla2g4a‐Prostaglandin Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Orally administered recombinant human type III collagen protects the gastric mucosa from ethanol‐induced injury by coordinating redox homeostasis, epithelial barrier repair, and arachidonic acid–prostaglandin metabolism. Gastric digestion releases the pentapeptide GPAEF, which interacts with the Pla2g4a promoter G‐quadruplex in a structure‐dependent ...

Type B3 thymoma with marked neuroendocrine differentiation: Report of a case

open access: yesSAGE Open Medical Case Reports, 2019
Thymomas are tumors originating from the thymus epithelial cells and are the most common tumors of the anterior mediastinum. They have been classified into types A, AB, B1, B2, and B3 by the World Health Organization.

Gut Microbial Topology and Metabolic Signatures Associated With Colorectal Neoplasia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The gut microbiota organizes into two robust association patterns linked to colorectal neoplasia risk. Topological shifts in microbial networks are associated with metabolite alterations and may shape host responses during disease development. ABSTRACT Alterations of gut microbial communities impact health.

Mechanism‐Informed Language Modeling and Oxygenated 3D Screening Identify Berberine–Enzalutamide Synergy in Prostate Cancer Models

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating knowledge‐augmented artificial intelligence with an oxygen‐supplemented 3D screening platform, a synergistic interaction between berberine and enzalutamide is identified. The framework integrates compound mechanisms of action with disease‐relevant signaling context to prioritize candidate combinations and generate testable pathway‐based ...

Neuroendocrine Neoplasms of the Esophagus and Esophagogastric Junction in Germany, 2009–2023

open access: yesCurrent Oncology
According to the WHO classification of tumors, neuroendocrine neoplasms (NENs) of the esophagus are esophageal “epithelial neoplasms with neuroendocrine differentiation, including well-differentiated neuroendocrine tumours (NETs), poorly differentiated ...

A Hypothalamic Oxytocinergic–Sympathetic Axis Couples Anxiety Dysregulation With Impaired Tendon–Bone Repair

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RCI is associated with functional suppression of oxytocinergic neurons in the PVN. Reduced PVNOXT neuronal activity contributes to altered sympathetic regulation involving the IML–sympathetic chain pathway, accompanied by changes in norepinephrine signaling at the BTI.
