Neuron-specific enolase in the blood serum as a diagnostic marker of Parkinsonism
In the article there were presented data about the received results of immune-enzyme analysis of neuron-specific enolase among patients with Parkinsonism (52) in comparison with control group of patients with discirculatory encephalopathy without ...

CEA, CYFRA 21-1, NSE, and ProGRP in the diagnosis of lung cancer: a multivariate approach [PDF]
We retrospectively studied the single and combined diagnostic value of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), cytokeratin fragment 19 (CYFRA 21-1), neuron specific enolase (NSE) and pro-gastrin-releasing peptide (ProGRP), which were routinely analysed in ...

Expression and regulation of neuron-specific enolase [PDF]
Neuron-specific enolase (NSE) is an isoform of the glycolytic enzyme enolase which is expressed specifically in neurons and neuroendocrine cells in the mammalian nervous system. Its onset of expression coincides with neuronal differentiation and it has therefore become established as a marker of mature, postmitotic neurons (Zomzely-Neurath, 1983).

Use of novel serum markers in clinical follow-up of Sertoli-Leydig cell turnours [PDF]
Background: Sertoli-Leyclig cell tumours of the ovary account for only 0.2% of malignant ovarian tumours. Two-thirds of all patients become apparent due to the tumour's hormone production. Methods: A 41-year-old patient (gravida 4, para 4) presented with
