Potential health benefits of cold‐water immersion: the central role of PGC‐1α

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Cold‐water immersion (CWI) elicits autonomic, somato‐motoric (shivering thermogenesis), endocrine and metabolic, sensory transduction, and local biophysical effects that may converge on the transcriptional co‐activator PGC‐1α (centre).

Differential effects of sex and age on daily and infradian rhythms of mice

open access: yesThe Journal of Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract figure legend Summary of age‐ and sex‐dependent differences in behavioural rhythmicity and environmental adaptation in mice. Middle‐aged mice of both sexes show weight loss and increased daytime activity compared with young adults. In males, circadian timing remains precise with a strong 10‐day infradian rhythm across ages.

Intracellular Trafficking of Neuropeptide Y Receptors

2015
The multireceptor multiligand system of neuropeptide Y receptors and their ligands is involved in the regulation of a multitude of physiological and pathophysiological processes. Specific expression patterns, ligand-binding modes, and signaling properties contribute to the complex network regulating distinct cellular responses.
