Neurochemical Profiles of Prefrontal Cortex and Hypothalamus at 3 and 7 T During Controlled Euglycemia: Evaluation in a Cohort With Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 38, Issue 9, September 2025.
This study compares MRS data acquired at 3 T and 7 T from the hypothalamus and prefrontal cortex in individuals with Type 1 diabetes. Despite similar metabolite levels, systematic differences were observed, particularly in phosphoethanolamine and the sum of glucose and taurine.

Revisiting the Gateway Drug Hypothesis for Cannabis: A Secondary Analysis of a Nationwide Survey Among Community Users in Japan

open access: yesNeuropsychopharmacology Reports, Volume 45, Issue 3, September 2025.
This study reexamines the gateway drug hypothesis for cannabis using data from 3900 community‐based users in Japan. Findings show that cannabis is typically preceded by alcohol and tobacco and rarely leads to methamphetamine or other illicit drug use, challenging the hypothesis in the Japanese context.

Application of Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) Techniques in Patients With Intracranial Hemorrhage: A Systematic Review

open access: yesWIREs Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, Volume 15, Issue 3, September 2025.
The graphical abstract highlights the three key aspects addressed in this review: (1) the clinical background of intracranial hemorrhage (IH), providing context for its diagnosis and clinical significance; (2) the technical background of explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) methods relevant to IH‐related tasks; and (3) a systematic review of ...

Advances in Cellular Immune Theranostic Approaches for Glioblastoma: Current Trends and Future Directions

open access: yesCancer Innovation, Volume 4, Issue 4, August 2025.
Glioblastoma (GBM) remains a highly malignant brain tumor with limited treatment efficacy, driving the need for innovative cellular immune theranostic strategies that integrate diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Recent advances in cellular immunotherapy for GBM include chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)‐T/NK cells, macrophage‐based therapies ...

Multiple Cervical Arteries Dissection Associated With Fibromuscular Dysplasia: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 8, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Spontaneous cervical artery dissection is a condition often associated with connective tissue diseases, such as fibromuscular dysplasia (FMD), a complex angiopathy primarily affecting medium‐sized arteries. While single‐vessel dissection is more common, simultaneous involvement of three cervical arteries is rare.

A strategy for multimodal integration of transcriptomics, proteomics, and radiomics data for the prediction of recurrence in patients with IDH‐mutant gliomas

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 157, Issue 3, Page 573-587, 1 August 2025.
What's new? Isocitrate dehydrogenase (IDH)‐mutant gliomas typically affect young adults and invariably progress toward increasingly malignant phenotypes, despite treatment. Recurrence often is unpredictable, however, indicating a need for a deeper understanding of factors that drive disease return.

Ultrafast Imaging of Physiological Brain Pulsations With Magnetic Resonance Encephalography—From Noise to Predictive Clinical Biomarker

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 38, Issue 8, August 2025.
Human brain pulsations shown in this picture drive both blood and CSF flow. These pulsations can now be accurately detected with ultrafast MREG imaging. The ultrafast imaging offers early detection of abnormal brain pulsations that can precede tissue degeneration in Alzheimer's disease or predict mortality in brain lymphoma treatment. ABSTRACT Over the

Fetoscopic Robotic Open Spina Bifida Treatment (FROST): A Preclinical Feasibility and Learning Curve Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 132, Issue 9, Page 1259-1268, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective The primary aim was to assess the feasibility of robotic OSB repair in a simulation training model, documenting the learning curve and ensuring quality control among surgeons. Design The learning curve was assessed using the cumulative summation test (LC‐CUSUM).
