Real‐Time and High‐Resolution NIR‐II‐L Imaging of Netrin‐1‐Mediated Neurovascular Coupling Driven by Dose‐Dependent Electroacupuncture

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Disrupted neurovascular coupling contributes to ovarian dysfunction in polycystic ovary syndrome. Using near‑infrared II long‑wavelength imaging, this study visualizes how electroacupuncture dynamically regulates ovarian blood vessels in vivo. Immediate and cumulative stimulation elicit distinct vascular responses via a Netrin‐1 dependent mechanism ...

Revising Fascial Anatomy With a Focus on the Fusion Fascia in Mesenteric Gastrointestinal Cancer Surgery

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
This review critically reassesses our prior hypothesis and proposes a revised anatomical model of the fusion fascia that is broadly applicable to GI cancer surgeries grounded in the principles of mesenteric resection. Our synthesis suggests that the fusion fascia is neither a dense connective tissue membrane nor a remnant of mesothelial fusion, but ...

The plantaris muscle - rare relations to the neurovascular bundle in the popliteal fossa.

open access: yesFolia Morphologica, 2015
The plantaris muscle is characterised by morphological variability, both for origin and insertion, and may sometimes be absent. Its strength allows the ligament to be used for reconstruction of other tendons and ligaments.

Neurovascular Primo Bundles at the Kidney Meridian Revealed Using Hemacolor Staining

open access: yesJournal of Acupuncture and Meridian Studies, 2015
Neurovascular bundles were observed earlier in connection with the K- meridians of a rat [ 1]. At that time, the existence of the primo vessel ( PV) in the bundle was not noticed despite expectations in accordance with the description of Kim [ 2]. Applying the hemacolor staining technique, which was recently developed to detect the subcutaneous primo ...

Impact of Abdominoperineal Resection on Postoperative Male Sexual Function After Minimally Invasive Rectal Cancer Surgery: A Subgroup Analysis From the LANDMARC Study

open access: yesAnnals of Gastroenterological Surgery, EarlyView.
Abdominoperineal resection (APR) after minimally invasive rectal cancer surgery was associated with significantly higher rates of erectile and early ejaculatory dysfunction compared with anal‐sparing surgery. Although ejaculatory function showed partial recovery over time, erectile dysfunction persisted up to 12 months postoperatively.

Robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy with early retrograde release of the neurovascular bundle and endopelvic fascia sparing

open access: yesInternational Brazilian Journal of Urology
Introduction Robotic-assisted radical prostatectomy (RAP) is the dominant minimally invasive surgical treatment for patients with localized prostate cancer. The introduction of robotic assistance has the potential to improve surgical outcomes and reduce

Automation of Surgical Workflow Recognition: Unveiling the Surgical Instrument Kinematics that Underly Robot‐Assisted Prostatectomy Procedures

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
Automated procedural analysis is recognized as one of the major game changers for robotic surgery. Meaning digital analysis needs to replace the manual assessments that set todays standard. Mechanical robotic‐instrument tracking enables the derivation of quantitative kinematic metrics that support behavior‐based workflow segmentation into distinct ...
