Homoclinic snaking in a neutral delay model of a transmission line oscillator [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
In a transmission line oscillator (TLO) a linear wave travels along a piece of cable, the transmission line, and interacts with terminating electrical components.

Invisible but not inaccessible—Revealing transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins with solution NMR and complementary methods

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Transient oligomers formed by intrinsically disordered proteins may be ‘invisible’ to direct detection yet remain accessible to solution NMR through equilibrium‐exchange measurements and pressure‐jump experiments. Complementary methods report on mass, stoichiometry, selected distance distributions, morphology, and internal packing.

Metastasis on pause: How dormant tumor cells stay hidden within the tumor microenvironment and evade immune surveillance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dormant cancer cells can hide in distant organs for years, evading treatment and the immune system. This review highlights how signals from the surrounding tissue and immune environment keep these cells inactive or trigger their reawakening. Understanding these mechanisms may help develop therapies to eliminate or control dormant cells and prevent ...

Fault tolerant control of three-level NPC grid-connected inverter based on SVPWM compensation optimization

open access: yes电力工程技术
To ensure the three-level neutral point clamped (NPC) grid-connected inverter in a grid-connected system continuous operation after a single-phase bridge arm short circuit or open circuit failure, an optimal compensation fault-tolerant control strategy ...

PWM switched voltage source inverter with zero neutral point potential

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2004
A new three-level PWM inverter is proposed. Its phase voltage is twice as high as that of the conventional neutral-point-clamped PWM inverter and a three-level waveform can be achieved without the switch voltage unbalance problem. Furthermore, its average neutral point potential is zero.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

A Modified Three-Level Neutral-Point-Clamped Converter for a Low Carrier Ratio

open access: yes
In the application of high power electric propulsionand high-speed motor drives, a very low switching frequencyusually is employed, thus it has a very low carrier ratio, which inturn results in the failure of the established voltage-balancingschemes in ...

Epigenetic silencing of the liver‐specific lncRNA LUNAR promotes liver cancer progression via NOTCH activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...
