Simulating X-point radiator turbulence
Coupling a high-performance burning plasma core to a detached boundary solution is critical for realizing magnetic confinement fusion power. Predictive simulations of the edge and scrape-off layer are therefore essential and must self-consistently ...

Deviation in âVis and RÄminâ by Fakhruddin As'ad Gurgani [PDF]
Defamiliarization is an important term in the twenty-first century that was proposed by the Russian formalist Shklovsky for the first time. Defamilialization is directly related to foregrounding and is usually accompanied by sort of norm deviation. Poets

Building machine‐readable vocabularies for materials science is slow, expert‐driven work. This study benchmarks 13 large language models on two of its first steps: finding candidate terms in engineering articles and deciding where they belong in a class hierarchy.

A Modified SVPWM Strategy for Reducing PWM Voltage Noise and Balancing Neutral Point Potential
PWM (pulse width modulation) is the most widely applied current conversion technology, but the high-frequency harmonics it causes have a significant negative impact on inverter system performance. This paper focuses on the three-phase T-type three-level inverter as the research object and addresses existing PWM voltage noise and midpoint potential ...

Current Status and Challenges in Data Collection for Aerospace Coatings Deposited by Plasma Spraying
An innovative approach has been integrated into the GRENAT project to optimize plasma spraying and coating performance. Raw materials are accelerated and melted in the plasma generated by torches, creating coatings. Monitoring sensors collect process data which are combined with ex situ characterization data.

Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...
