Relative controllability of linear difference equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we study the relative controllability of linear difference equations with multiple delays in the state by using a suitable formula for the solutions of such systems in terms of their initial conditions, their control inputs, and some ...

Colorectal cancer‐derived FGF19 is a metabolically active serum biomarker that exerts enteroendocrine effects on mouse liver

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Meta‐transcriptome analysis identified FGF19 as a peptide enteroendocrine hormone associated with colorectal cancer prognosis. In vivo xenograft models showed release of FGF19 into the blood at levels that correlated with tumor volumes. Tumoral‐FGF19 altered murine liver metabolism through FGFR4, thereby reducing bile acid synthesis and increasing ...

A Shifted Jacobi-Gauss Collocation Scheme for Solving Fractional Neutral Functional-Differential Equations

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, 2014
The shifted Jacobi-Gauss collocation (SJGC) scheme is proposed and implemented to solve the fractional neutral functional-differential equations with proportional delays.

YIPFα1A expression is regulated by multilayered molecular mechanisms

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
YIPFα1A, a five‐pass Golgi protein, is regulated at multiple layers. (1) Rare‐codon enrichment drives translation‐coupled mRNA decay. (2) A proximal 3′‐UTR element stabilizes mRNA. (3) A distal 3′‐UTR element included by alternate poly(A) site usage represses translation, which can be overridden by the proximal 3′‐UTR element.

Special solutions of neutral functional differential equations

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2001
For a system of nonlinear neutral functional differential equations we prove the existence of an -parameter family of "special solutions" which characterize the asymptotic behavior of all solutions at infinity.

Control Problems for Semilinear Neutral Differential Equations in Hilbert Spaces

open access: yesThe Scientific World Journal, 2014
We construct some results on the regularity of solutions and the approximate controllability for neutral functional differential equations with unbounded principal operators in Hilbert spaces.

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Unique solvability
of second order functional differential equations with non-local
 boundary conditions

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2012
Some general conditions sufficient for unique solvability of the
boundary-value problem for a system of linear functional
differential equations of the second order are established.

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation for neutral functional differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2013
In this article, we consider a class of neutral functional differential equations (NFDEs). First, some feasible assumptions and algorithms are given for the determination of Bogdanov-Takens (B-T) singularity.
