ABSTRACT Four benzothiophenes, thianaphthene (BT‐1), 3‐bromothianaphthene (BT‐2), benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐carboxaldehyde (BT‐3), and benzo[b]thiophene‐2‐carbonitrile (BT‐4), were tested as mild steel corrosion inhibitors in 1‐M HCl. The compounds have the similar benzothiophene core but differ in the substituents bound to the ring.

A supershell model for the high- and intermediate-velocity neutral hydrogen clouds
The velocities and spatial distribution of high- and intermediate-velocity neutral hydrogen gas in the second quadrant of Galactic longitude in the northern hemisphere are accounted for in terms of a model in which the clouds appear to be part of a vast supershell with an elliptical cross section normal to the Galactic disk. Its origin appears to be in

A lower limit to the distance of the high-velocity cloud (HVC) complex A of 4 kpc (z > 3 kpc) is derived. The HVC is detected toward the Seyfert galaxy Mrk 106 in Mg n ΛΛ2796, 2803 absorption spectra taken with Hubble Space Telescope (HST) proving that Mg+ is present in the cloud.

Chlorella vulgaris biorefineries: sustainable biofuels and high‐value carbon capture
Abstract Global reliance on fossil fuels has created urgent economic and environmental challenges, yet large‐scale use of algal biomass remains limited by production costs. Industrial scaling is constrained by inefficient harvesting and the technical challenges of processing recalcitrant cell walls.

21 cm Hydrogen-line Survey of the Large Magellanic Cloud. I. Stellar, Nebular, and Neutral Hydrogen Radial Velocities [PDF]
A recent survey of the neutral hydrogen in the Large Magellanic Cloud with a 14'·5 beam and the 48·channel H·line receiver has afforded an opportunity to compare the radial velocities of a number of optical objects with the radial velocities of the hydrogen gas in their directions.

A ROS‐responsive, zwitterionic nanocage enables stable, intranasal siRNA delivery to glioblastoma, promoting deep tumor penetration via non‐degradative pathways and trigeminal nerve transport. This platform achieves durable gene silencing and tumor suppression, offering a non‐invasive, storage‐stable strategy for treating glioma and other neurological ...

Revisiting the Vertical Distribution of H i Absorbing Clouds in the Solar Neighborhood
The vertical distribution of cold neutral hydrogen (H i ) clouds is a constraint on models of the structure, dynamics, and hydrostatic balance of the interstellar medium.

ABSTRACT Global net‐zero ambitions require transformative strategies to decarbonise carbon‐intensive global value chains (GVCs). This study examines how multinational enterprises (MNEs) in sunset industries integrate carbon capture technologies (CCT) with operational and supply chain dynamics (OSCD) to advance decarbonisation.

The Effect of Radiation and Supernovae Feedback on LyC Escape in Local Star-forming Galaxies
Feedback is widely recognized as an essential condition for Lyman continuum (LyC) escape in star-forming galaxies. However, the mechanisms by which galactic outflows clear neutral gas and dust remain unclear.

ABSTRACT The emerging concept of Hubs for Circularity (H4Cs) presents an opportunity to create collaborative, self‐sustaining regional industrial ecosystems that drive circular economy transitions at scale. However, the operationalisation of H4Cs faces financial, organisational and data‐driven challenges.
