Phase diagram of neutral quark matter at moderate densities [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
We discuss the phase diagram of moderately dense, locally neutral three-flavor quark matter using the framework of an effective model of quantum chromodynamics with a local interaction.

Head Position and Posturography: A Novel Biomarker to Identify Concussion Sufferers

open access: yesBrain Sciences, 2020
Balance control systems involve complex systems directing muscle activity to prevent internal and external influences that destabilize posture, especially when body positions change.

Formation of Neutral Disk-Like Zone Around the Active Hot Stars in Symbiotic Binaries

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2012
In this contribution we present the ionization structure in the enhanced wind from the hot star in symbiotic binaries during active phases. Rotation of the hot star leads to the compression of the outflowing material towards its equatorial plane.

Ionization structure in the winds of B[e] supergiants II. Influence of rotation on the formation of equatorial hydrogen neutral zones [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Context: B[e] supergiants are known to have non-spherical winds, and the existence of disks that are neutral in hydrogen close to their stellar surface has been postulated.

Fractal sets of neutral curves for stably stratified plane Couette flow [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Mechanics, 2019
The linear stability of plane Couette flow is investigated when the plates are horizontal, and the fluid is stably stratified with a cubic basic density profile. The disturbances are treated as inviscid and diffusion of the density field is neglected. Previous studies have shown that this density profile can develop multiple neutral curves, despite the

Neutrality of coated holes in the presence of screw dislocation dipoles or circular thermal inclusions

open access: yesArchives of Mechanics, 2018
In this paper, we consider the design of neutral coated holes in two particular cases when the thick coating itself is altered by the presence of some form of material imperfection.

Regge-plus-resonance predictions for neutral-kaon photoproduction from the deuteron [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We present a Regge-inspired effective-Lagrangian framework for neutral-kaon photoproduction from the deuteron. Quasi-free kaon production is investigated using the Regge-plus-resonance elementary operator within the relativistic plane-wave impulse ...

THEORETICAL AND EXPERIMENTAL CONTRIBUTIONS CONCERNING THE PROPOSED MODEL FOR THE DISC-TYPED ROTARY ULTRASONIC MOTOR [PDF]

open access: yesFiabilitate şi Durabilitate, 2010
In this work the proposed model for type-disk, ultrasonic motor rotating, elliptic movement to surface beam. A sinusoidal vibration of the vertical displacement in the z-direction, Assume that the vertical displacement of the neutral plane, equals the ...

Flow with PMD: Past and Future

open access: yes, 2002
Measurements of azimuthal distribution of inclusive photons using the fine granularity preshower photon multiplicity detector (PMD) at CERN SPS are used to obtain anisotropy in the azimuthal distributions.

Stability of plane Poiseuille and Couette flows of Navier–Stokes–Voigt fluid

open access: yesActa Mechanica, 2023
The temporal stability of plane Poiseuille and Couette flows for a Navier–Stokes–Voigt type of viscoelastic fluid is examined. The primary unidirectional flow is between two infinite rigid parallel plates, which are either fixed or in relative motion. To
