A novel neutral point potential control for the three-level neutral-point-clamped converter

2016 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2016
Three-level neutral-point-clamped (NPC) converters/inverters have become a popular topology for not only medium-voltage (1k–33k) but also low-voltage level industrial application because of its reduced transistor block voltage and lower output current distortion.

Neutral point voltage control of neutral point clamped converters

2014
The most widely used Medium Voltage multilevel converter is the 3-level AC/DC Neutral-Point Clamped (NPC) converter. It provides: a) twice the voltage rating, b) a reduction in the volumetric size and weight over the traditional 2-level converter. However, these benefits are lost when the Neutral Point (NP) drifts away from its ideal value (0 V).The ...

Elimination of neutral point potential oscillations in the four pole neutral point clamped converter

2017 IEEE 3rd International Future Energy Electronics Conference and ECCE Asia (IFEEC 2017 - ECCE Asia), 2017
This paper investigates the effect of neutral point potential oscillation on four pole neutral point clamped converter. The detailed derivation indicates such oscillation is closely associated with neutral point current, so this paper presents a modulation technique to effectively eliminate this neutral point current. Besides, an offset injected method

Active Neutral-Point Balancing of Three-Level Neutral-Point-Clamped Traction Inverters

2018 21st International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS), 2018
Recently, electric vehicles have become an integral part of the global mobility system. As the battery voltage of the electric vehicles is a much-discussed topic, the high voltage technology shows several benefits, such as accomplishing the increasing on-board power demand and facilitating the wiring and connectors.

The Neutral Point on a Likert Scale

The Journal of Psychology, 1977
Abstract It was hypothesized that the exclusion of a neutral point will not significantly affect an individual's composite score on a Likert-type scale. A sample of 200 undergraduates at Memphis State University was drawn from upper division sociology courses. Four unique arrangements of the Comrey and Newmeyer Radicalism-Conservatism scale (both forms

Neutral point detection by satellites

Journal of Geophysical Research, 1974
The concept of a neutral point depends on the physical phenomena described. The regions with B less than about 1 gamma detected by Schindler and Ness may be interpreted as neutral regions for the ion-tearing process. The assumption of the presence of a multiple neutral point structure (with temporal variations) is still the most promising ...

Neutrality of Point Mutations

1994
In 1968 the journal Nature published a brief article written by the Japanese geneticist Kimura with the title “Evolutionary Rate at the Molecular Level” [6.1]. Kimura laid the foundations of neutral theory, one of the most important theories in modern evolutionary biology.

Neutral Point in the Geomagnetic Field

The Physics of Fluids, 1966
The neutral point on the boundary of the geomagnetic cavity in the solar wind is discussed. From the equilibrium and stability conditions it is shown that the correct geometry of the neutral point is a cusp.

Neutral Point Discharge Experiment

Journal of the Physical Society of Japan, 1972
The behavior of a plasma current through a magnetic neutral point is investigated experimentally. A quasi-steady magnetic field (either cusp or quadrupole magnetic field) is created by a slow capacitor discharge, and the plasma sheet current is excited by a slow capacitor discharge.
