Transmissibility of MERS-CoV Infection in Closed Setting, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 2015
To investigate a cluster of Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) cases in a women-only dormitory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in October 2015, we collected epidemiologic information, nasopharyngeal/oropharyngeal swab samples, and blood samples from 828 ...

A novel, high tensile modulus, fully aromatic thermotropic liquid crystalline polyimide (LCPI) with better solvent resistance and thermal stability is synthesized. Tensile specimens are fabricated using both injection molding and FFF processes, accomplished via lower viscosity enabled by the LC phase.

Factors determining the pattern of the variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) epidemic in the UK.
Following the emergence of a new variant of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) 6 years ago, and the gradual rise in clinical cases, there has been increased speculation regarding the overall magnitude of this epidemic in Great Britain.

Studies on the denaturation of antibody: II. The effect of protein concentration on the rate of denaturation of diphtheria antitoxin by urea [PDF]
The specific rate of inactivation of antitoxin in urea solutions, as measured by the Römer neutralization test with toxin, has been shown to be independent of the concentration of protein under the conditions studied.

Photon and neutral pion production in pp and Pb-Pb collisions at LHC energies in the ALICE experiment [PDF]
We present the results for direct photon and neutral pion production obtained from proton-proton and lead-lead collisions in the ALICE experiment. Measurement of neutral pions in pp collisions allows to test the validity of QCD-inspired models. The study of neutral pion yields in Pb-Pb collisions permits to study the medium-induced suppression relative

Mesenchymal stem cell‐derived nanoghosts (MSC‐NGs) mimic naturally secreted extracellular vesicles (MSC‐EVs) in structure and physicochemical properties but can be synthesized at more translatable yields. As osteogenic agents, MSC‐NGs demonstrate superior outcomes compared to MSC‐EVs.

Causation Delays and Causal Neutralization: The Money-Output Relationship Revisited [PDF]
In this paper, we develop a parametric test procedure for multiple horizon ”Granger” causality and apply the procedure to the well established problem of determining causal patterns in aggregate monthly U.S. money and output. As opposed to most papers in
