Studies of Parity Violation in Atoms
This article provides an overview of atomic parity violation (APV), emphasizing its role in testing the Standard Model and probing new physics. The review discusses manifestations of APV, including nuclear‐spin‐independent and dependent effects, and explores isotopic comparison as a method for precision measurements.

Many modern detector systems require structured scintillators in combination with photo‐detectors. This requirement can be fulfilled by 3D printing plastic scintillators which becomes more and more relevant. However, the resolution and surface quality of 1‐photon‐based 3D printing techniques are not sufficient for many applications.

Nearly Tri-Bimaximal Neutrino Mixing and CP Violation
We point out two simple but instructive possibilities to modify the tri-bimaximal neutrino mixing ansatz, such that leptonic CP violation can naturally be incorporated into the resultant scenarios of nearly tri-bimaximal flavor mixing.

Baryon asymmetry and neutrino mixing [PDF]
In theories where $B-L$ is a spontaneously broken local symmetry, the cosmological baryon asymmetry can be generated by the out-of-equilibrium decay of heavy Majorana neutrinos. We study this mechanism assuming a similar pattern of mixings and masses for leptons and quarks, as suggested by SO(10) unification.

Flavor in SU(5)$SU(5)$ Finite Grand Unified Models
Abstract Four SU(5)N=1$SU(5) \nobreakspace N=1$ supersymmetric models which exhibit S3$S_3$ and/or ZN$Z_N$ symmetries are studied, that are finite to two or all loops, and their corresponding mass matrices. The first is an all‐loop finite model based on an S3×Z3×Z2$S_3\times Z_3\times Z_2$ flavor symmetry, which leads to phenomenologically nonviable ...

The μ − τ reflection symmetry breaking in a B − L model with T7 × Z8 × Z2 symmetry
We suggest a neutrino mass matrix texture satisfying the μ−τ reflection symmetry in a B−L model with T7 symmetry by introducing additional singlet scalars and invoking the Type-I seesaw mechanism in which the hierarchical patterns of charged lepton and ...

Current and future neutrino oscillation constraints on leptonic unitarity
The unitarity of the lepton mixing matrix is a critical assumption underlying the standard neutrino-mixing paradigm. However, many models seeking to explain the as-yet-unknown origin of neutrino masses predict deviations from unitarity in the mixing of ...

The effects of Majorana phases in three-generation neutrinos
Neutrino-oscillation solutions for the atmospheric neutrino anomaly and the solar neutrino deficit can determine the texture of the neutrino mass matrix according to three types of neutrino mass hierarchies as Type A: $m_1^{} \ll m_2^{} \ll m_3 ...
