Phenomenology of neutrino oscillations [PDF]

open access: yesPramana, 2000
The phenomenology of solar, atmospheric, supernova and laboratory neutrino oscillations is described. Analytical formulae for matter effects are reviewed. The results from oscillations are confronted with neutrinoless double beta decay.

Dark Energy From the Gravitational Wave Background With Scalar Field Dark Matter

open access: yesAstronomische Nachrichten, Volume 346, Issue 3-4, March-May 2025.
ABSTRACT Recent observational results, such as those from pulsar timing arrays (PTA), suggest a low‐frequency Gravitational Wave Background (GWB) permeates our universe. This opens the possibility that gravitational waves could span a broader spectrum, potentially impacting cosmological scales.

Majorana CP violation insights from decaying neutrinos

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
It is well-known that within the standard three flavor neutrino oscillation formalism, the Majorana phases appearing in the neutrino mixing matrix cannot have any effect on neutrino oscillation probabilities thereby evading testability at neutrino ...

A model for neutrino anomalies and IceCube data

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We interpret the neutrino anomalies in neutrino oscillation experiments and the high energy neutrino events at IceCube in terms of neutrino oscillations in an extension of the standard model where three sterile neutrinos are introduced so as to make two ...

Neutrino oscillation physics with a Neutrino Factory [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of XXIst International Europhysics Conference on High Energy Physics — PoS(EPS-HEP2011), 2012
We illustrate that the baseline Neutrino Factory configuration being developed within the International Design Study for the Neutrino Factory (the IDS-NF) is optimized for standard oscillation-physics measurements and for searches for new physics. For small values of θ13 (sin2 2θ13 < 10−2 ) a Neutrino Factory with two storage rings in which 25 GeV ...

Studies of Parity Violation in Atoms

open access: yesAnnalen der Physik, Volume 537, Issue 2, February 2025.
This article provides an overview of atomic parity violation (APV), emphasizing its role in testing the Standard Model and probing new physics. The review discusses manifestations of APV, including nuclear‐spin‐independent and dependent effects, and explores isotopic comparison as a method for precision measurements.

Neutrinos from the Early Universe and physics beyond standard models

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2015
Neutrino oscillations present the only robust example of experimentally detected physics beyond the standard model. This review discusses the established and several hypothetical beyond standard models neutrino characteristics and their cosmological ...

Fibonacci fast convergence for neutrino oscillations in matter

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2020
Understanding neutrino oscillations in matter requires a non-trivial diagonalization of the Hamiltonian. As the exact solution is very complicated, many approximation schemes have been pursued.

Collective Neutrino Oscillations and Heavy-element Nucleosynthesis in Supernovae: Exploring Potential Effects of Many-body Neutrino Correlations

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
In high-energy astrophysical processes involving compact objects, such as core-collapse supernovae or binary neutron star mergers, neutrinos play an important role in the synthesis of nuclides.
