Influence of head cover on the neutron dose equivalent in Monte Carlo simulations of high energy medical linear accelerator [PDF]
Neutron contamination of radiotherapeutic photon beam occurs when energies higher than 10 MeV are used in radiotherapy. To correctly assess the neutron doses that medical personnel and patients receive, it is highly important to know the ...

Long-Range Neutron Detection [PDF]
A neutron detector designed for detecting neutron sources at distances of 50 to 100 m has been constructed and tested. This detector has a large surface area (1 m{sup 2}) to enhance detection efficiency, and it contains a collimator and shielding to achieve direction sensitivity and reduce background.

Application of Raman and Photoluminescence Spectroscopy to MgO‐C Refractories
Visible to near infrared luminescence of MgO is studied on MgO‐C bricks and nominally pure MgO powder, with focus on two similar sharp high‐intensity signals, at 699 and 871 nm, each surrounded by symmetrical sidebands. The nature of these sidebands is investigated by temperature‐dependent spectroscopic measurements, confirming phonon involvement by ...
