Enhancing neutron detection capabilities of a water Cherenkov detector
In this work we show the neutron detection capabilities of a water Cherenkov detector (WCD) using pure water, as well as an aqueous solution of sodium chloride as the detection volume.

The neutron production rate measurement of an indigenously developed compact D-D neutron generator [PDF]
One electrostatic accelerator based compact neutron generator was developed. The deuterium ions generated by the ion source were accelerated by one accelerating gap after the extraction from the ion source and bombarded to a target.

Ultra-thin 3D silicon sensors for neutron detection
We present a novel neutron detector based on an ultra-thin 3D silicon sensor with a sensitive volume only 10 µm thick. This ultra-thin active volume allows a high gamma-ray rejection, a key requirement in order to discriminate the signal coming from the ...

Development and application of a spatial associated particle neutron detection system
Generally, non-destructive testing methods based on the fast neutron technology, such as the associated alpha particle detection technology, can detect hidden hazardous materials without affecting the detected object.

Influence of head cover on the neutron dose equivalent in Monte Carlo simulations of high energy medical linear accelerator [PDF]
Neutron contamination of radiotherapeutic photon beam occurs when energies higher than 10 MeV are used in radiotherapy. To correctly assess the neutron doses that medical personnel and patients receive, it is highly important to know the ...
