Spatial Engineering of Gas Diffusion Layers Overcomes Mass Transport Limitations in Fuel Cells
ABSTRACT Mass transport limitations at high current densities hinder polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) performance due to inefficient water management and reactant distribution. Gas diffusion layer (GDL) perforation offers a potential solution as an alternative to complex flow‐field modifications.

In cancer treatment, high energy X-rays are used which are produced by linear accelerators (LINACs). If the energy of these beams is over 8 MeV, photonuclear reactions occur between the bremsstrahlung photons and the metallic parts of the LINAC.

Low-flux neutron imaging [PDF]
Judicious use of scintillation screens greatly improves the capabilities for low-flux neutron imaging. Room temperature, cooled /sup 6/LiF-- ZnS(Ag) and gadolinium oxysulfide (Gd/sub 2/O/sub 2/S: Tb) were evaluated for direct exposures, and x-ray intensifying screens were evaluated with dysprosium and europium transfer screens.

The 10B‐enriched monocarbonyl analog of curcumin (BMAC) 10B‐9 enables site‐specific Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) on amyloid‐β (Aβ) fibrils. Neutron irradiation induces histidine oxidation and fibril destabilization, as revealed by 1H‐NMR and FESEM analyses.

New High‐Tc Charge‐Transfer Multiferroicity in the Quasi‐2D Antiferromagnet CrSbS3
ABSTRACT Low‐dimensional magnets, particularly 2D systems, offer a rich platform for realizing unconventional multiferroic mechanisms, especially when multiple polarization channels coexist. In the quasi‐2D antiferromagnet CrSbS3, which crystallizes in the centrosymmetric orthorhombic space group Pnma and orders magnetically at TN ≈ 90 K, two ...

Engineering of Crystal and Domain Structures in Epitaxial Y:HfO2 Thin Films by YSZ Substrate Miscut
We investigate how YSZ substrate miscut influences crystal structure and domain formation in epitaxial Y‐doped HfO2 thin films. Using magnetron sputtering, high‐resolution X‐ray diffraction, atomic‐resolution scanning transmission electron microscopy, and first‐principles calculations, we systematically examine the characteristics of thickness‐ and ...
