Nanocrystal Quality–Controlled Scintillation in Porous YAG:Ce Aerogels
High‐temperature thermal treatment of YAG:Ce nanoscintillator aerogels increases light yield under ionizing radiation by up to eightfold without affecting timing performance. Additionally, low‐temperature atmospheric treatments reversibly modify the cerium oxidation state, revealing strong defect sensitivity and offering new strategies to optimize ...

Connection between f-electron correlations and magnetic excitations in UTe2
The detailed anisotropic dispersion of the low-temperature, low-energy magnetic excitations of the candidate spin-triplet superconductor UTe2 is revealed using inelastic neutron scattering. The magnetic excitations emerge from the Brillouin zone boundary

A search for the $835\,\text{Hz}$ superburst oscillation signal in the regular thermonuclear bursts of 4U 1636-536 [PDF]
Burst oscillations are brightness asymmetries that develop in the burning ocean during thermonuclear bursts on accreting neutron stars. They have been observed during H/He-triggered (Type I) bursts and Carbon-triggered superbursts.

The 10B‐enriched monocarbonyl analog of curcumin (BMAC) 10B‐9 enables site‐specific Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) on amyloid‐β (Aβ) fibrils. Neutron irradiation induces histidine oxidation and fibril destabilization, as revealed by 1H‐NMR and FESEM analyses.

This study achieves anisotropic thermal expansion tuning in Nd2(Co1‐xFex)17‐yCry compounds via a magnetoelastic strategy. Variable‐temperature synchrotron X‐ray diffraction reveals that increased Fe content induces switchable lattice responses. Compositional control reduces the volume expansion coefficient αV by 20% (x═0.7) and modulates TC (442–625 K),
