Magnetic relaxation in neutron-irradiated iron
Physica Status Solidi (a), 1973Measurements of the magnetic after-effect, observed as a time decrease of the initial susceptibility, have been made on high purity iron after irradiation with fast neutrons to a dose of 9.8 × 1018n cm−2 at 45°C. Below 0°C strong relaxation peaks were observed at −68 and −13°C, in good agreement with earlier work, and attributed to the reorientation of

Correction of Optical Aberrations by Neutron Irradiation
Applied Optics, 1971The refractive index of optical materials can be modified by means of neutron irradiation. By varying the radiation dose over selected areas of a lens according to some given law, the local change in the refractive index can be adjusted to correct for different types of optical aberrations.

Positron lifetimes for neutron-irradiated C $_{60}$
Applied Physics A: Materials Science & Processing, 1995The neutron-irradiation effects on C60 fullerite powder were studied by positron lifetime spectroscopy. Below 0.5 ns, a single lifetime of 382±1 ps was found for the unirradiated annealed sample and two components were resolved after neutron irradiation with a dose of 2×1016 n/cm2. Possible origins of these components are briefly discussed.

Proton and neutron irradiation effects of Ti:sapphires

Various effects of proton and neutron irradiated Ti:sapphires were studied. Proton irradiation induced F, F/sup +/ and V centers in Ti:sapphires and 3310 cm/sup -1/ infrared absorption, and made ultraviolet absorption edge shift to short wave.
