Giant intradermal cerebritorm nevus of the scalp
European Journal of Plastic Surgery, 1997Giant cerebriform nevus is a rare benign tumor, located on the scalp. Surgery is required because of their growth potential and possible malignant behavior. A case of scalp cerebriform melanocytic intradermal nevus is presented. It was totally excised and the defect was covered with a free skin graft.

Malignant Melanoma within an Intradermal Nevus
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 1994We describe a case of malignant "dermal" melanoma that arose within a preexisting intradermal nevus. Clinically, the lesion had recently enlarged. Histologically, two patterns were noted. One was an intradermal nevus in the upper portion of the dermis; the other was a deeper nodule composed of malignant neoplastic cells that extended into the reticular

Giant Ceribriform Intradermal Nevus on the Back of a Newborn
Pediatric Dermatology, 2008Abstract: A male newborn had a large cerebriform tumor covering his shoulders and almost the entire surface of his back. After exclusion of further abnormalities, the diagnosis of cerebriform intradermal nevus was made. This particular variant of giant melanocytic nevus should always be differentiated from cutis verticis gyrata, if located on the ...

Intradermal Nevus With Psammoma Body Formation
Archives of Dermatology, 1968An unusual case of intradermal nevus with psammoma body formation of the face in an elderly man is reported. Derivation of the psammoma bodies from degenerative nevus cells is postulated. The possibility of some peculiar biological characteristics accounting for the development of the psammoma bodies in this intradermal nevus is noted.

Desmoplastic trichoepithelioma and intradermal nevus: A combined malformation
Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, 1987We studied 13 desmoplastic trichoepitheliomas associated with intradermal nevi. Ten intradermal nevi were found among 76 new cases of desmoplastic trichoepithelioma (13%); three additional examples of the combined malformation were seen in consultation.

Malignant Melanoma Developing from an Intradermal Nevus
Dermatology, 1998A 58-year-old man presented a black nodule with satellites located in the left upper region of the umbilicus. Clinical history and microscopic findings led us to diagnose it as a malignant melanoma developing from an intradermal nevus. Histopathologically, melanoma cells developed upward from the nest of the intradermal nevus and no junctional activity

Intradermal Melanocytic Nevus With Prominent Schwannian Differentiation
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2002Features of peripheral nerve sheath differentiation such as neuroid cords, nerve corpuscles, fascicle-like structures, and, exceptionally, palisading have been reported in melanocytic nevi. We report an intradermal melanocytic nevus with prominent Verocay-like bodies.

Trichoadenoma Associated With an Intradermal Melanocytic Nevus: A Combined Malformation
The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2007Melanocytic nevi have been associated with epidermal hyperplasia, adnexal hyperplasia with follicular and sebaceous differentiation, cysts, and tumors of epidermal or adnexal origin. We report a combined cutaneous hamartoma in a 29-year-old woman that comprised a trichoadenoma within an intradermal melanocytic nevus.

Intradermal nevus of the ear canal.
The Journal of otolaryngology, 1989While intradermal nevi are common benign pigmented skin tumors, their occurrence within the external auditory canal is uncommon. The clinical and pathologic features of an intradermal nevus arising within the external auditory canal are presented, and the literature reviewed.
