Classification-tree restructuring methodologies: A new perspective

open access: yes, 2002
The classification-tree method developed by Grochtmann et al. provided a useful approach for constructing test cases from functional specifications. It was automated by Chen and Poou through their tree construction methodology. In a follow-up study, Chen

Development and validation of a paediatric long-bone fracture classification : a prospective multicentre study in 13 European paediatric trauma centres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Background: The aim of this study was to develop a child-specific classification system for long bone fractures and to examine its reliability and validity on the basis of a prospective multicentre study.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Text classification method review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
With the explosion of information fuelled by the growth of the World Wide Web it is no longer feasible for a human observer to understand all the data coming in or even classify it into categories.

A new one-dimensional testosterone pattern-based EEG sentence classification method

open access: yes, 2023
Electroencephalography (EEG) signals are crucial data to understand brain activities. Thus, many papers have been proposed about EEG signals. In particular, machine learning techniques have been used/presented to extract information from EEG signals ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Valosin‐containing protein counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its ATPase activity in vitro

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

New classification system of endometrial hyperplasia WHO 2014 and its clinical implications

open access: yes, 2017
Endometrial hyperplasia (EH) is a pathological condition characterised by hyperplastic changes in endometrial glandular and stromal structures lining the uterine cavity. Endometrial hyperplasia, particularly with atypia, is a significant clinical concern

Comparing Multi-Label Classification Methods for Provisional Biopharmaceutics Class Prediction. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The biopharmaceutical classification system (BCS) is now well established and utilized for the development and biowaivers of immediate oral dosage forms. The prediction of BCS class can be carried out using multilabel classification.
